Previously, collisions that occurred in Vaughan or Richmond Hill were ineligible to be reported online. Investigators with the York Regional Homicide Unit have located 57-year-old Roberto MARCHIONI , in good health.
On Sunday, July 14, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., Mr. MARCHIONI was located by a citizen, in the area of Highway 401 and Morningside Avenue, in the City of Toronto. Toronto Police Service officers attended and contacted YRP. He was suffering minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 44-year-old man in connection with a historic sexual assault that occurred at a church in the City of Richmond Hill.
On Thursday, June 6, 2024, the victim reported they had been sexually assaulted by the suspect on multiple occasions when they were 12. The victim advised these assaults occurred in 2016 and 2017. The suspect had repeatedly touched the victim for a sexual purpose.
