York Regional Police has seized a loaded firearm and charged a man with numerous offences after responding to a suspicious vehicle in the City of Markham.
On Saturday, December 7, 2024, at approximately 2 a.m., officers responded to the reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Kelly Crescent and Tidewater Street. A concerned citizen contacted police to report a pickup truck that had been idling in the area. Officers attended, located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the suspect, Cannabis was observed readily available to the driver. As a result, a search was conducted and a firearm and a quantity of a substance believed to be Methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.
