An officer talking to four youths

York Regional Police is dedicated to mentoring and safeguarding our youth. By engaging youth, we can build positive relationships, establish trust and open the lines of communication.

Through interaction at schools, community events and sporting events, we can teach students about the importance of leadership, teamwork and accountability and develop youth ambassadors, not only for York Regional Police, but for our community. Our Youth Education Officers and School Resource Officers are in schools across the region, connecting with students on a daily basis and promoting healthy lifestyles choices.
