Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking one suspect and any witnesses following a commercial robbery in the Town of Stouffville.
On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at approximately 2 a.m., police responded to a commercial robbery in the area of Highway 48 and Norman Jones Place. The suspect entered the store, threatened the victim with a weapon and demanded cash. The victim turned over a quantity of cash. The suspect then fled northbound on foot.
The suspect is described as male, white, approximately 6’2”, with a slim build, clean shaven with a moustache. He was seen wearing a navy blue and red toque, a black jacket, black pants and white running shoes. The suspect was heard speaking with a lisp.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area, or anyone who may have dashcam or video surveillance footage at the time of the incident, or who has information about the suspect, to please come forward.
