Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a Richmond Hill man following a sexual assault investigation.
On Friday, May 10, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the victim attended a business in the area of Silver Linden Drive and High Tech Road and observed a male standing unusually close to her. When the victim turned to face the male, he was observed with his genitals exposed while committing a sexual act.
The victim fled the area immediately and was not injured.
On Wednesday, November, 27, 2024, Kiarash IRANI ANARAKI, 36, of Richmond Hill, was charged with one count of Indecent Act.
A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
