Posted on Tuesday March 18, 2025

The York Regional Police #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau has charged a Community Support Worker after a vulnerable member of the community was defrauded of over $10,000.

On November 24, 2023, a family member of the victim reported to police that between 2021 and 2023, more than $10,000 had been withdrawn from the victim’s account. The victim, who is a vulnerable member of the community, would not have been able to complete these transactions themselves.
