Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit have charged one youth and are seeking three additional suspects after a home invasion in the City of Richmond Hill.
On Sunday, October 20, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., police responded to a home invasion in the area of Yonge Street and Carrvile Road. Three suspects, at least one armed with a knife, entered the residence through the front door while an additional suspect remained outside the residence. The suspects stole items from the residence including the victim’s Mercedes G-Wagon.
Investigators located the stolen vehicle in the area of Britannia Road West and Whitehorn Road in the City of Mississauga. At approximately 8:45 p.m., with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit, one suspect was taken into custody after attempting to flee on foot. Police are searching for at least three additional suspects.
On Monday, October 21, 2024 at approximately 6:45 a.m., the suspects returned to the victim’s residence and used car keys taken during the home invasion to steal the victims Mercedes AMG GT63S from the driveway. Investigators have also since recovered this vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

The investigation is ongoing and police would like to speak to anyone with video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the incident.
