The York Regional Police Homicide Unit have laid charges against two men following a shooting that occurred in the City of Vaughan.
On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an injured female with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of Vaughan Mills mall. When officers arrived, a female was located suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as Alisseaha GOLAR-KOTLAR, 21, of Hamilton.
Two men have been charged in relation to the incident.

The relationship between the two accused and the victim has not yet been confirmed, but are believed to be known to each other.
Investigators believe the incident is targeted and there is no threat to public safety. There are no outstanding suspects or vehicles.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, and to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the Vaughan Mills parking lot, to please come forward.
