Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigations Unit are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision involving two vehicles in the City of Vaughan.
On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision between a black sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a white pickup truck in the area of Jane Street and Auto Vaughan Drive.
All three occupants of the SUV were transported to hospital. An 87-year-old female driver has been pronounced deceased and a 90-year-old man remains in life-threatening condition.
All five occupants of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police, and are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area at the time of the collision, to please come forward.
