Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit have laid sex offence charges and are urging witnesses and potential victims to come forward following an incident at a mall in the City of Vaughan.
On Monday, April 14, 2025, police were notified of an incident that took place at Vaughan Mills Mall on Friday, April 11. The victim reported that while they were at the mall, a male suspect approached, touched them in a sexual manner and offered to purchase items for them in exchange for further sexual contact.
Through the course of the investigaiton, officers were able to identify and charge the suspect.
Investigators are releasing an image of the accused, as they believe there may be additional victims and witnesses who have not yet come forward.

A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
