Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit have charged three men after a home invasion that occurred on September 5, 2024, in the City of Markham.
On Thursday, September 5, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., police were called to a residence in the area of The Bridle Walk and Castlemore Avenue for a home invasion. The victim called police after three suspects forced their way into the home, armed with a hammer, while demanding their vehicle keys. A fourth suspect, believed to be the driver, remained in the suspect vehicle.
Two of the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle while the remaining two suspects fled in the suspect vehicle, described as a dark, four-door sedan.
There were four adults and two children in the home at the time of the incident. There were no injuries.
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, with the assistance of the York Regional Police Emergency Response Unit, investigators executed three search warrants at residences in the City of Toronto.
As a result of these warrants, three men were charged with numerous offences. Three stolen vehicles were recovered during the investigation. The fourth suspect remains outstanding.
Of the three men charged, Tremaine Anthony CLARKE, 32, of Toronto, was out on two separate release orders for unrelated charges. Khowaja SEDDIQI, 22, of Toronto, has been linked to a previous home invasion that occurred In October 2024 in Richmond Hill.
Investigators believe the three men may be involved in other similar incidents.

One of the three offenders was out on bail for prior offences,” states Police Chief Jim MacSween. “Our officers and our communities expect a bail system that ensures their safety, by weighing the risks a repeat offender may pose to the community. This is the expectation that is required to ensure confidence in the administration of justice.”
