SUSPECTS SOUGHT FOR ATTEMPTED ARMED JEWELRY STORE ROBBERY

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking at least four suspects after an attempted armed robbery of a jewelry store in the City of Vaughan.

On Monday, February 24, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m., police responded to the report of an attempted robbery at a jewelry store in the area of Zenway Boulevard and Highway 427. The victim was exiting the store after closing when he observed four suspects running towards him. The victim managed to get into his vehicle and lock the doors before the suspects reached him. The suspects attempted to smash the window of his vehicle with a hammer and at least one of them brandished a firearm. Fortunately, the victim was able to flee and contact police.

There were no injuries.

All four suspects are described as male, 15 to 20 years old, wearing dark clothing, with their faces covered.
