Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect following voyeurism incidents in the City of Vaughan.
On Sunday, April 13, 2025, at approximately 2:20 p.m., the suspect followed a parent and their child into a public washroom at a shopping mall in the area of Jane Street and Rutherford Road.
As the child was using the facilities, the suspect stood beside them and watched them for a period of time.
The suspect immediately fled when the parent noticed what was happening. The child was not injured.
Video surveillance outside of the washroom area showed the same suspect sitting on the ground with his cell phone plugged into the wall. The suspect followed three other children, who were in the company of a parent, into the washroom. Investigators believe these victims were unaware they were followed.
Suspect:
- Male
- Asian
- 20 to 25-years-old
- Last seen wearing a green-and-black jacket, blue t-shirt and black pants
- Carrying a black backpack
