Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking five suspects and any witnesses following a robbery with a firearm at a pharmacy in the City of Vaughan.
On Friday, April 4, 2025, at approximately 12:15 p.m., police responded to the report of a robbery in the area of Steeles Avenue West and Bathurst Street. Four suspects entered a pharmacy with hand guns and demanded access to the narcotics safe. The suspects were unsuccessful in opening the safe and fled the scene in a waiting black sedan.
All suspects were described as male, Black, teenaged and were wearing dark clothing.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Officers would also like to speak with anyone who may have video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the incident.
York Regional Police is reminding business owners of the importance of maintaining and updating video surveillance equipment. Quality images can help identify suspects and/or their vehicles, can aid in arrests and have a tremendous impact during court proceedings.
