SUSPECT WANTED FOR MAY 2024 SEXUAL ASSAULT IN RICHMOND HILL

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect from a May 2024 sexual assault in the City of Richmond Hill.

On Friday, May 10, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the victim attended a business in the area of Silver Linden Drive and High Tech Road and observed a male standing unusually close to her. When the victim turned to face the male, he was observed with his genitals exposed while committing a sexual act.

The victim fled the area immediately and was not injured.

Security footage shows the suspect getting into a dark grey sport utility vehicle (SUV) and fleeing the scene.

Suspect:

  • Male
  • 25 to 35 years
  • Thin build
  • Short black or brown hair, brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing a dark zip-up jacket with a grey T-shirt underneath

A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. York Regional Police would like to encourage anyone who feels they may have been a victim of a sexual assault to come forward and report the incident to police. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
