APPEAL FOR WITNESSES AFTER SERIOUS COLLISION IN EAST GWILLIMBURY

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a five-vehicle collision in the Town of East Gwillimbury

On Monday, November 25, 2024, at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers responded to a four-vehicle collision in the area of Davis Drive and Warden Avenue. A dump truck had struck four vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured and remained on scene.

Of the four drivers, three were injured. Two were transported to a local hospital, one with minor injuries and one with serious injuries and the third driver was transported to a trauma centre with life-altering injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, and to anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the collision, to please come forward.
