Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit have charged four men and a male youth with numerous offences following a home invasion investigation.
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, just before 3 a.m., officers responded to a home invasion in the area of Arnold Avenue and Charles Street in the City of Richmond Hill. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned three masked suspects had forced their way into the residence and demanded car keys.
The victim complied and a suspect entered a vehicle parked in the garage. The suspect reversed through the closed garage door and through the gate at the end of the driveway.
There were three adults in the residence at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no one was injured. The victim’s vehicle was later found abandoned a short distance away.
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, investigators from the Hold-Up Unit, with the assistance of the Air Support, Emergency Response, Canine and the Mobile and Investigative Support units, arrested four men and a male youth in the area of Matheson Boulveard East and Creekbank Road in the City of Mississauga.
During the arrest, a loaded firearm was recovered.

All five males are now facing various charges, some of which are in relation to the home invasion.
At the time of the arrest, some of the offenders were out on separate release orders or probation for unrelated offences. Three of the offenders were wanted by other police agencies.
