Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking multiple suspects following two separate home invasions at the same residence in the City of Markham.
On Friday, January 10, 2025, at 1 p.m., police attended a residence in the area of Castan Avenue and Sabiston Drive for a report of a home invasion. On scene, officers learned that the victim was subjected to two home invasions earlier that morning.
At approximately 3 a.m., two suspects forced their way into the victim’s bedroom, administered an aerosol irritant at the victim and stole a quantity of items before fleeing.
Later that morning, at 7:40 a.m., two suspects, who are described as shorter in height than the suspects in the first incident, forced their way into the victim’s bedroom, where she was restrained and assaulted. While restrained, a quantity of cash and other items were stolen before the suspects fled in a white sedan.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
It is believed there were different suspects in each incident and investigators are seeking as many as four suspects.
The suspects from the first incident are described as both being approximately 5’11” and wearing masks.
The following suspect descriptions are from the second incident.

- Wearing a blue medical mask, black clothing and armed with a small hammer
- Spoke Mandarin and Fujianese
