Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking two suspects following a home invasion in the City of Markham.
On Thursday, November 28, 2024, shortly before 7:30 p.m., police attended a residence in the area of Daffodil Avenue and Poinsetta Drive for a home invasion. The victim called police after two suspects forced their way into the home, armed with a switchblade, while demanding the location of a safe.
After unsuccessful attempts were made to restrain the victims, the suspects fled the residence.
There were no injuries.
Suspect #1: - Male, white
- 40 to 50 years
- Approximately 5’8”
- Dark, short hair, dark eyes and a tan complexion, possible beard
- Wearing what appeared to be a scarf covering his face, black pants, black boots and black gloves

- 30 to 40 years
- Approximately 5’10”
- Wearing all black clothing, black gloves and armed with a switchblade
