APPEAL FOR WITNESSES FOLLOWING FATAL COLLISION IN KING

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the Township of King.

On Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 7:44 p.m., officers were called to a single motor vehicle collision on 17th Sideroad and 11th Concession. When officers arrived, they located a black Honda sedan on its roof and a lone occupant trapped in the vehicle. Despite life-saving measures by responding emergency services, the driver, a 33-year-old man from the City of Vaughan, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This stretch of road is in a remote area. Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who may have witnesses the collision, or who may have dashcam footage or video surveillance from the area around the time of the collision, to please come forward.
